Synthesis of free-standing graphene in atmospheric pressure microwave plasma for the oil-water separation application

چکیده

The synthesis of free-standing graphene in a microwave plasma at ambient conditions is currently great interest. past works have relied on the usage higher powers to synthesize which not only costly but also an obstacle industrialization process. aim this work was bring down cost process by synthesizing significantly lower power, i.e. 250 W. formation confirmed through Raman spectrum and scanning electron microscopy, where showed signature 2D peak graphene, vertical orientation observed microscopic images. application oil-water separation demonstrated based its hydrophobic oleophilic properties. as-synthesized pristine coated melamine sponge mass absorption capacity (57 g/g) comparable that functionalized or composite graphene.
